Hundreds to ride Las Vegas Strip for veteran support event

LAS VEGAS, Riders will descend upon the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday, Nov. 7, for Project Hero’s 2026 Honor Ride. The event is scheduled to include hundreds of cyclists and veterans in a single procession.

The annual ride supports local veterans and first responders who are managing PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and other service-related conditions. Participants will include members of the Las Vegas Project Hero hub, regional first responders, and cyclists from across the area. The group features adaptive riders, including those using hand and recumbent bikes.

Project Hero is a national nonprofit founded in 2008. The organization uses cycling and adaptive equipment to help veterans and first responders build resilience and reduce their reliance on drug-based therapies.

Logistics for the day begin at the Clark County Government Center on South Grand Central Parkway. Riders must check in by 7 a.m. A pre-ride ceremony is set for 8:30 a.m. All cyclists will depart at 9 a.m. under an escort from Metro Police. The group will complete a lap of the Strip before concluding with lunch and live music.
