Four nights of punk, rockabilly, garage, and ska music begin this week at two Eastside pizza locations. The event, titled Rock N Roll in the Streets, is scheduled for November 5 through November 8 at Grey Witch and Red Dwarf. Approximately 21 bands will take the stage during the four-day run. Tickets for the shows start at $34, available for purchase at dice.fm.
The lineup features a mix of established and emerging acts in the local scene. Thee Merry Widows, an all-female psychobilly band, are among the performers. Go Betty Go, a pop-punk outfit, and Hans Gruber and the Die Hards, a skacore band, will also play. The event combines live music with dining at popular local pizzerias, creating a distinct atmosphere for fans of high-energy genres.
New recordings from two Las Vegas bands released around the same time add to the local music activity. Los Emptys, a surf rock group based in East Vegas, dropped a four-track EP titled Cryptid. The project was self-written, recorded, and mixed by the band. The EP features trebly riffs and a wavy atmosphere, with the title track noted for its chorus. Frontman Cristian Alexus Alfaro’s vocals on the track “With You” ride an up-tempo rock groove.
Prog-rock band Llover also released a new EP titled In This Immediate Moment. The project features the vocals of Spencer Hinton, who previously performed with the group KEWK. The EP is described as raw and visceral. The track “Animal Kingdom” stands out for its multi-layered instrumentation. The song builds tension with drums, basslines, and vocals rushing toward an epicenter of aggression.
Los Emptys and Llover have provided links to their profiles for listeners interested in hearing the new material. The Rock N Roll in the Streets event continues through the weekend, offering nightly performances at the designated venues.
