Rush Sets Five-Show Sphere Residency for May 2027

Rush will perform a five-night residency at Sphere Las Vegas in May 2027, according to an announcement made Thursday by band co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. The shows are scheduled for May 21, 23, 26, 28, and 30 under the title “Elevate From the Norm.”

The lineup includes drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, who currently tour with Lee and Lifeson. The band stated in a news release that each performance will feature songs from their career catalog as a tribute to Neil Peart, the drummer and lyricist who died of brain cancer on Jan. 7, 2020. Lee described the Sphere opportunity as a major design challenge for the team, noting they aim to perform full albums including “2112” and “Moving Pictures.” The band’s current Fifty Something tour has sold more than 1 million tickets.

Ticket sales for the Rush residency will occur in three phases. VIP and travel packages for Rush Backstage subscribers open at 10 a.m. Friday. An artist presale begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday for fans who sign up through Seated. General public sales start at 10 a.m. on Nov. 13. Superfan, the official VIP partner, will bundle tickets with stays at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
