Bryant Moreland, a YouTube personality known by the handle EDP445, was arrested in Henderson this week. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on four felony sex crime charges. The charges originate from a case in California.

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office in California says the allegations involve a victim who was under age 14 during a 2021 investigation. Officials stated that Moreland was not charged at that time because reporting parties did not cooperate with law enforcement. Prosecutors said statements made by Moreland in a 2026 documentary revived the case. The documentary is titled “The Sick Mind of EDP445.”

Mike Clum, the creator of the documentary, said most of the filming took place in Las Vegas. Moreland was living in the area at the time of production. Clum noted that his footage ended up serving as evidence for the new arrest. “I was reached out to by Kern County. Obviously, my documentary footage, while the intent wasn’t to gather evidence, it ended up being evidence,” Clum said.

In the documentary, Moreland addressed the allegations. He referenced his actions involving a 13-year-old and attributed them to desperation. Clum observed that Moreland’s demeanor changed during the filming process. “There’s times he feels remorse.. then he extroverts that and says that’s someone else’s fault. It depends on his mood,” Clum said.

Moreland had millions of followers on YouTube before the initial allegations made him a controversial figure on the platform. Following the filing of the new charges, content creator Jidon Adams flew from Texas to Henderson. Adams, known online as JiDion, watched the arrest in person. “This arrest was so important because he’s one of ours, sadly,” Adams said. Adams added that the community had long joked that Moreland was untouchable.

As of Thursday, officials have not confirmed any local charges against Moreland in Las Vegas or Clark County. The Clark County Detention Center said interviews with Moreland were not permitted due to his housing location within the facility. Extradition proceedings to California remain pending.
