Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announced a modernized election results website Tuesday in Las Vegas. The platform serves as a centralized location for voters to track statewide, county, and municipal outcomes during the 2026 general election. The site builds on the state's existing Silver State Elections infrastructure.
The new interface introduces specific tools for following the election. Users can now bookmark selected races in a single location. The system also allows voters to filter vote tallies by county. Aguilar stated that transparency requires making election information easy to find and understand. He noted that the upgrade builds on a trusted resource to help citizens follow their favorite races as results update.
State election officials clarified the timing of the initial data release. Unofficial results will appear on the modernized website only after polls close and the final voter in line statewide has cast a ballot. Polls close at 7 p.m. State law guarantees that every eligible voter in line by that time can vote. Officials cautioned that the initial returns released Tuesday night will not represent complete totals.
The Secretary of State's Office operates two distinct digital portals for election tracking. RESULTS.NV.gov displays unofficial vote counts and margins for candidates and ballot measures. VIVID.NV.gov tracks voter participation, turnouts, mail ballots distributed and returned, and ballots requiring signature cures. The latter site does not report vote totals. County election offices will continue processing valid mail ballots, addressing signature issues, and evaluating provisional ballots over the following days.
Nevada law sets a specific timeline for finalizing results. Counties have until the seventh day after the election to process and count mail ballots. Totals then undergo final canvassing and certification. Voters can submit mail ballots to designated county drop boxes and polling places by the 7 p.m. deadline. Same-day voter registration and updates remain available at polling locations. Voter information and polling sites are available at VOTE.NV.gov, and mail ballots can be tracked at MyBallot.NV.gov.
