The Vegas Golden Knights stopped a three-game skid Tuesday night, beating the Ottawa Senators 4-1. Raphael Lavoie supplied the go-ahead score, tapping in a feed from Ville Heinola eight minutes into the third period. The goal was Lavoie's first in the NHL, coming in his 27th career game.

Nic Dowd picked up the secondary assist on Lavoie's goal, the 200th point of his career. Braeden Bowman opened the scoring for Vegas with a power-play goal late in the second period, firing a rebound from Ivan Barbashev's shot with 11 seconds left. William Karlsson and Jack Eichel added empty-net goals for the Golden Knights.

Vegas goaltender Adin Hill made 25 saves and helped set up the first goal. With Ottawa on a power play, Hill charged out to the right circle to poke the puck away from Ridley Greig on a short-handed breakaway. The Golden Knights then moved the puck up ice for Bowman's finish.

Shane Pinto answered for Ottawa 34 seconds into the third, taking a pass from Drake Batherson in the slot to tie the game on the power play. Ottawa has now scored a power-play goal against Vegas in six straight games. Hill stopped 25 shots for the Golden Knights, while Jonas Johansson turned away 25 for the Senators.

Ottawa played without Carter Hart, who was hurt at the morning skate. The Senators visit Los Angeles on Thursday. Vegas hosts New Jersey on Friday.
